How to deposit using Online Banking:
Step 1: Click on the Dropdown Menu at the top-right corner of the screen > Click on Deposit > then select Online Banking
IMPORTANT – The Online Banking Option has over 2k banks listed and is Simple and safe – no card or ACH info to provide. You can Deposit up to $10k per transaction.
Step 2: Select the bank that you want to deposit with and input your username and password.
Step 3: Select the account that you’d like to Deposit with and sign in.
Step 4: Select the amount you want to deposit into your account and click Deposit.
Congratulations! Your Deposit will be instantly deposited into your account and you will be able to start playing with your funds.
My deposit is not going through with this method, what do I do?
There are various reasons why the deposit may not go through using Online Banking. The below suggestions are ways to correct a possible failed deposit. If none of the below have worked. Please contact our Customer Service team via Live Chat or Email and they can walk you through more trouble shooting steps.
1. Delete and re-enter your banking information within the app. This normally establishes connection between your mobile banking app and our processor.
2. Check your bank account for pending transactions. A deposit will not be accepted if you have pending transactions on your bank account that would take it below the amount you are attempting to deposit. This would result in a declined withdrawal so try a lesser amount.
3. Try depositing in smaller increments. If you have tried multiple times to deposit an amount with no avail, the way to offset that would be to deposit the desired amount in increments rather than all at once. For example if you are trying to deposit $100, try depositing in increments of $25 or $50.
4. Please make sure you are on WiFi and have location services enabled for PointsBet on your device.
I received a $30 charge on my account when I did not make a deposit recently with this method, is this a mistake?
On your bank statement if you see this charge it is normally accompanied by text reading 'Retry Payment'. This means when you initially made your deposit you did not have the funds available in your account to cover it. The processor will wait a period a time before attempting the debit again and then charge a 'Retry Payment' fee of $30.
This is not being charged by PointsBet. You can contact the processor directly at 1-800-366-2425 to discuss further.
How long does it take for the funds to be debited from my bank account?
It can take up to 3 business days for the funds to be debited by the processor from your bank account. Please ensure you have enough available to cover the deposit over that time period to avoid a 'Retry Payment' fee at a later time.
This does not affect the availability of the funds in your PointsBet account. Once the deposit is accepted by the processor they are available immediately to be bet with.
What happens if my bank is not listed as an available option?
If you do not see your bank as an available option you will not be able to use this deposit method at that time. Please look for another deposit method that we have listed.
However, please contact PointsBet Customer Support with the name of your bank. We will pass it along to the processor so it can be added in the future.
