HOW TO DEPOSIT WITH CREDIT / DEBIT CARD
Step 1: Click the Dropdown Menu> Select 'Deposit'> Scroll down and select 'Credit/Debit Card' option
Step 2: Enter the required card info > promo code if applicable > enter the amount you wish to deposit and submit by clicking the 'Deposit' button at the bottom of the screen
NOTE: This is the least successful way to deposit funds on site. Not all banks allow transactions with online gaming providers. If it does not go through it is likely declined by your bank and you will need to try another method.
Congrats! Your funds will appear immediately if accepted and you can now bet!
CAN I USE A GIFT CARD I HAVE WITH THIS METHOD?
Yes, gift cards are accepted. However, you will likely incur the same issue as you would with a debit/credit card. The banks/processors who control those gift cards do not always allow Online Gaming transactions. If the deposit does not go through it is likely being declined by the issuer.
I WAS CHARGED A FEE AFTER I DEPOSITED WITH THIS METHOD, WHY IS THAT?
When using a Credit Card, you are subject to being charged a cash advance fee. This is not PointsBet charging this fee, this is the issuing bank charging a cash advance fee on the deposit you've made. You will have to reach out to them for an explanation.
I RECEIVED AN ERROR MESSAGE SAYING I DID NOT PASS THE 'AVS (ADDRESS VERIFICATION SYSTEM) CHECK', WHAT DOES THIS MEAN AND HOW DO I CORRECT IT?
When you receive this message, it means that the address you have on file with PointsBet does not match the billing address you have on file with your Debit/Credit card provider.
To rectify, you will need to send an email to ID@pointsbet.com with a clear photo of an ID (passport or driver's license) AND a proof of residence (phone bill, bank statement or utility bill) issued within the last 90 days with the date of the document visible in the photo. The team can then update your address on file to match.
After the update you can try again. There is no guarantee this will rectify the issue and your transaction may still be declined by the issuing bank. We highly suggest using our Online Banking method instead.
