Does PointsBet send out any tax forms?
Yes, PointsBet distributes W-2G's which are required by the IRS.
Who is eligible to receive a W-2G form from PointsBet?
Clients receive a W-2G form when they win a wager on PointsBet Sportsbook during the year that paid more than $600 at odds of 300 to 1 (+30000) or greater. You must have a bet that fulfills both of these requirements to receive this form.
Under IRS laws, PointsBet Sportsbook is required to report this winning to the IRS and applicable state on Form W-2G.
If I'm eligible, how will I receive the W-2G form?
If you are one of the clients eligible to receive this form, it will be sent to the email address we have on file for you to sign, sometime before the end of January.
If you believe you have a bet that qualified but you have not received the form, please contact us via live chat with the Ticket # of the bet you believe qualified and we can confirm.
Does PointsBet distribute any other tax forms if I had a Net Win on the year?
